One of the most incredible California historical sites! The Union Hotel was originally built in 1880... A charming blend of Old West and Victorian.
Few places in California have such a long tradition of hosting visitors as does the Union Hotel. For over 103 years the Hotel has hosted travelers from the stagecoach, then the railroad, then early motorists, on the original highway 101.
Back in the 1920's, movie stars, on their way to Hearst Castle, stopped by to refill their flasks. In the early 50's you might find Johnny Cash or Buck Owens (before they were famous) playing downstairs in the saloon. Paul McCartney and Michael Jackson made the memorable "Say, Say, Say" video here in the 80's.
We provide tradition and we value the past in a magical, romantic setting that appeals to all ages, 8 to 108!
As you step into the Union Hotel, the hotel
lobby welcomes you back in time. Inside, the hotel is charmingly furnished
with period antiques. The parlour is a rich glow of plush
